Sohail Bhatti recently tweeted an article from the MiddleEastEye.Net on Israel and anti-Semitism, by Israeli journalist, Gideon Levy. I’d be the last person to attempt to gag anyone for expressing personal opinions on international (or local) affairs. However, Bhatti’s choice of tweet, when there are floods of burning international issues, raises troubling thoughts in my mind already pre-occupied by galloping spikes in anti-Semitism, globally. Dear Sir,
I remember the dockyard as being a well organized entity.
This was at the time when I was doing my apprenticeship and under the British government.
Today, and I am sorry to say, the dockyard looks like a very disorganized junk yard. What a shame.
What our government should have done is leased a portion of the yard to the Americans for them to have made a small mini base right at the entrance of the Mediterranean. Read more

I have long insisted in my articles in matters to do with Brexit, that the question of the Fisheries is and has always been, both prevalent and of great importance to the discussions between the EU and the UK. Fishing rights are like gold dust! However it appears that the EU has without any reason given and at the last minute, shifted its stance from an expected offering of compromise, to a much more hard-line position. Read more
