*Douglas Robles in social media:

Congratulations to James Neish and all the staff at GBC they are a small team with limited resources who cover all Gibraltar major events for the community especially every New Years eve year in year out whilst we are celebrating at home or in casemates.... or elsewhere with our families and friends...

well done guys for an amazing coverage. Happy New Year.

Ann Conway: Didn’t realize they were doing it out of the goodness of their hearts-in that case my congratulations too!!!

Douglas Robles: Its not that but given the limited number of people working there its always the same people working year in year out. Its a big undertaking.....In any case regardless job well done.

Cmbyani Ta: Did you say "LIMITED RESOURCES"???? I would say the CRAP they generally show is an ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TAXPAYERS' MONEY!!!!!!!

Eddie J Wood: "Limited resources" at £9M per annum is hardly of the limited type considering they were hardly doing it for free and I'm not exactly a faceless profile btw

Yvette Zarb Bensusan: James Neish does not work for GBC.

SAYS PANORAMA: To get the record straight we asked the relevant Government department about the cost of the Casemates concert, and we were told: The New Year’s Concert was awarded for two years to Fresh Entertainment on the 19th April 2016. It was awarded to this production company for £40,000 per year.

By the way, the number of employees at GBC cannot be regarded a small team - there are 80 employees...
