Gibraltarians with Cerebral Palsy launch awareness campaign

Members of the community living with Cerebral Palsy will come together for the first time this weekend in order to spread awareness of the disability.

Cerebral Palsy is the most common motor disability in children but one of the least understood and its symptoms can cause serious physical restrictions.

Signs and symptoms vary among people. Often, symptoms include poor coordination, stiff muscles, weak muscles, and tremors. There may be problems with sensation, vision, hearing, swallowing and speaking.

An awareness stall will be set up stall at the ICC tomorrow from 10am to 2pm and on Sunday there will be a march from Piazza to Casemates in support of people living with Cerebral Palsy at 10am.
