Hassan Nahon confirms PANORAMA exclusive of last month

Way back on 6 September, we reavealed that Gibraltar would have a new political party before Christmas. This caused a stir particularly in political circles - and now that our exclusive report has been confirmed, this will now cause more than a stir. 

Marlene Hassan Nahon has always had a political party in mind - but had been waiting for what she considered to be the right time. The right time has now arrived.

As Hassan Nahon takes the plunge, the most concerned are bound to be the GSD, because she obtained her support at the last election from being in the GSD slate.

With the GSD giving the impression that they are not in the best of health, will the new party cause more problems for the GSD?

Having mooted a political party 2 years ago, she told us several months ago: "I wanted to get the most out of the representation I could provide for the community. At the time I did not know for sure if there was appetite for a new party."

Presumably, now she knows...
