Gill Temple

As a child, I was educated to know exactly where the rain in Spain falls mainly on. Moving here, I should have guessed that the rain in Gibraltar falls mainly on Main Street. The walkway having recently been converted to a cycle path, now seems to have been converted to a canal or small river with a deluge of water that takes no prisoners. Everyone is going to get wet.

The people snug in their apartments look out on a wet Gibraltar and do what is the norm. Blame the Government for the flooding. Blame them for , the rain, the state of the roads, the drains that are working overtime, and anything else,  rain related. Why aren’t the police handing out Government sponsored red brollies? That’s what I want to know!
