May’s Brexit deal rejected

Theresa May's Brexit deal was rejected by a big majority in the House of Commons last night. As many as 432 MPs voted against it and only 202 were in favour, representing a large majority of 230 votes.

Labour leader Jeremy Corby lost no time in tabling a motion of No Confidence which will be debated and voted on today. Tory MPs were saying that the Conservatives will defeat the motion, as it was something else to vote against their own party.

If May defeats the No Confidence motion, she is expected to explore if another deal would be possible.
