Local landlords and old buildings

Dear Sir,

I havn't been in Gibraltar for that long, but I have heard about local landlords getting away with matters which in the UK would cause havoc and headlines.

The issues that has now erupted over old dwellings appears to have been long overdue, but what about business premises housed in ancient buildings? Is there no law that applies to them, and if there is, why are such laws not properly publicised for all to get acquainted with?

What is going on in what is a place of village dimensions, does nobody care unless issues are aired on television?

Yours sincerely,

C. A. Stephens
