FCO and MOD habitually fail to Defend Gibraltar’s Sovereignty Interests

As innocuous as the FCO and MoD may have thought Sunday’s incident was or as they described as ‘nothing incident’ which according to their first official statement 24 hours after the illegal incursion took place when they practically told the world that the whole of Gibraltar were liars and that nothing happened, while implicitly suggesting that Spanish state vessels were free to illegally enter BGTW and take executive action, or my own theory I have said many times over the years, “The MoD or FCO are Not Interested in Having a Sovereignty Turf Like Conflict With Spain For Just a Few Miles of Water”.

As it happened, the incident itself became the secondary problem, mainly because of the way the people of Gibraltar were totally let down by the British government and those in the UK already mentioned. It was an appalling way of dealing with such a delicate high profile Gibraltar issue, especially after the incident was witnessed, seen and heard by most of us on the Rock.

Then to add insult to injury the Spanish Government goes on to admit and then defend Sunday’s illegal action of its military vessel in BGTW – And by doing so, Madrid indirectly, agreed or confirmed what the people of Gibraltar had seen, which left as complete idiots and liars those who thought it was a good idea to undermine an entire population of loyal British subjects, solely to appease an historical hostile neighbour!
