Surprise planned when sculpture artist opens his exhibition

By Belinda Cano

Sculpture artist Kim-Peter Waltzer-Girda is set to open an exhibition of his in the Fine Arts Gallery, open to the public as from 26th February to 2nd March. This will be officially opened by the Governor on Monday 26th February, where Kim-Peter has revealed that he has a surprise planned. This is organised by Rock Prom (Gibraltar) Limited. We caught up with the artist on Tuesday to find out more.

Originally from Finland, Kim-Peter fell in love with Gibraltar as he called it ‘a beautiful place’ with ties to the Monarchy, Her Majesty the Queen of Gibraltar and to the people of Gibraltar to whom the exhibition is dedicated to.

He was seven years old when he started making sculptures, the result, he says, of recurring nightmares and a channel of energy that he felt allowed him to create his sculptures. He believes that this is a gift that was given to him spiritually.
