Notre Dame School visit City Hall

On Friday morning, two groups of Year 3 pupils from Notre Dame School visited the City Hall, as part of the Youth Arts Jamboree.

During the visit, the students and teachers visited the Mario Finlayson National Gallery where Davina Barbara spoke about the different paintings, local artists, history and style of the artwork on display. Students also got to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and meet the Mayor herself, Kaiane Aldorino, who spoke to the children and told them a bit about the history of the building and the Mayor’s role and responsibilities in Gibraltar. Students were also shown old photographs of the buildings, allowed to hold the key to the city gates, wave from the balcony and even sign the Visitor’s Book.
