Gibraltar’s first ever World Earth Day will be on Friday the 26th of April from 2:30pm - 7pm at the University of Gibraltar.

This event will bring together international and local members from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to participate in discussions and panels about the importance of sustainable development in the fight against climate change. Gibraltar World Earth Day will focus on the role of the Green Economy in Gibraltar as a means to tempering climate change, and the importance of youth in this process.

World Earth Day began in 1970 in the United States, to educate university students about the growing threats to the environment.

The programme will include high-level keynote speakers, roundtables, presentations, and open discussions about the importance of the Green Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility as a method to tempering the threats of climate change in Gibraltar.
