Turnout at the Gibraltar count was 7% above the prvious European Election in 2014.

A total of 9441 voted at the present election, representing 39.79% of the total electorate of 23726, with 7321 voting in the 2014 election, representing 32.84% of the total electorate then of 22265. 

By polling stations, Polling Station No.1(in the North District) had the most electors, yet they came bottom of the list with a turnout of 33.24%. Top of the list, with 47.98%, came polling station No.7, Westside.

Most people voted in the 7pm to 8pm hourly period.

The actual Gibraltar count will be on Sunday evening and the result cannot be announce before 11pm so as to be synchronised with UK.
