The biggest name in classical music Andrea Bocelli to perform in Gibraltar this September

At a press conference in No6 Convent Place yesterday morning, it was revealed that WORLD FAMOUS TENOR Andrea Bocelli will perform in Gibraltar on Monday 9th September at Europa Point Stadium.Bocelli will be accompanied for the occasion by The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra who were last in Gibraltar in 2017 as a part of the 50th Anniversary of the Referendum. 

The announcement was made by the Chief Minister Fabian Picardo who said; “It is a pleasure to have the opportunity today to make an announcement about a concert to be held in Gibraltar on the 9th of September. It is an important year for Gibraltar as we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Constitution. We are also commemorating the fact that this past Saturday marked fifty years since the closure of the Frontier and many generations of Gibraltarians suffered that closure and it is time we honour that sacrifice. HM Government of Gibraltar wanted to bring an artist as a part of the National Celebrations who speaks to every generation of this great nation. Andrea Bocelli will be in Gibraltar on the 9th of September accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. I think this will be one of the best concerts we’ve ever had in Gibraltar.”
