Teachers' claim
On the issue of the Pay Adjustment Claim counter proposal, we would like to kindly remind the Chief Minister of his comment in his public letter of the 9th May 2019 where he wrote: ‘In any event, I would expect to make you a credible counter proposal by the end of the first week in June.’ It was disappointing
to hear him say that ‘I will have some information from PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers) in days’ implying a further wait for any negotiations to commence.
Our wish to resolve the Pay Adjustment Claim quickly, amicably and avoiding any form of disruption to schools remains a high priority. However on the 26th of this month, a whole year will have passed since we submitted our Pay Adjustment Claim with no counter proposal having been submitted to date.
