The MOD is handing all its Europa houses and flats over to the Government.

In future, all MOD married personnel will live in Four Corners.

These Europa properties were put up for sale, each one to the highest bidder. No-one was allowed to buy more than one property.

BUT, the properties will be used to accommodate athletes and officials during the Island Games and successful bidders only get possession of their properties after the Island Games.

So yesterday morning, the Chief Minister symbolically took possession of CBF’s keys to the MOD’s housing at Europa and Hospital Hill. As already stated,these houses and flats will first be used by Island Games competitors and officials and then released to the properties’ purchasers.
