Nothing gets done about sewer problem

Mr Hayes of Beachview Terraces says that nothing gets done to resolve a sewer problem in that area, located inside the army camp on the northern side of Seashell House.

He told PANORAMA that every day for many weeks, this has been going on for a number of hours, from first thing in the morning until lunchtime, sometimes even Saturdays.

Many have complained, and they are turning a blind eye. Even the manager of Beach View Terraces has put a complaint in twice but nothing ever happens.

They say they can't do anything about it, the smell is so bad we cannot open up anything, which as you can imagine that isn't good for the quality of life.

The grid is left open, while the lorry is pumping even when the men aren't physically there. We have even noticed a section of eastern beach affected with the putrid smell.
