They walked for charity

On Wednesday 24th June a presentation was made at the St. Bernard's hospital to minister Paul Balban of a plaque by Louis Pereira aged 93 and Ernest Colton aged 80 in appreciation for the exemplary manner the Government assisted by the medical representatives together with Mr. Ivor Lopez handled the situation of the Covid 19 epidemic which has an example to the whole world.

Louis and Ernest during the lockdown walked 10 kilometres each in the communal corridor outside their apartments, the sum of £2900 was collected for the Government Covid 19 epidemic account fund.

Mr Balban said, ‘This was a great achievement from both gentlemen. Thank you and congratulations to them.’”
