Craft of tablita boardmaking

For Kaigan Garcia, a hobby he discovered during the lockdown was creating ludo boards or as we so fondly call them in Gibraltar, tablita boards. ‘It was my dad that actually got me into it in the first place and asked me to make a few with him’. Depending on the design, it takes them approximately two and a half weeks to make just one board. All the boards they create are hand-carved, drawn, sanded, painted and varnished both front and back for protection.
