The initial views that the Pandemic would be contained in the short term sadly proved so unbelievably optimistic and damaging to most of the world’s industries and businesses.

None more tangibly visible than the Cruise Ship industry.
Since April 2020 the world’s fleets of cruise ships catering from 1,500 to over 5,000 passengers plus crew have found themselves ‘stranded’ in the oceans away from home ports or itinerary destinations.
Some have been sailing round on alternative routes and while there have not been any passengers onboard regulations require ships to, at all times, have a minimum safety level of crew.
This includes from 100 to 120 crew, more in the larger class, of which 30 must comprise of 30 Officers, engine room engineers, medical practitioner, chefs, stewards.
