How prepared is the world this time around?

by CARMEN GOMEZ
Isn`t it the case that whilst in government, Heads of State get on with the business of governing without too much interruption; albeit for the Dominic Cummings of this world and others like Jonathan Calvert and George Arbuthnott authors of “Failures of State; the inside story of Britain’s battle with Coronavirus.”

The trouble with this is that even if you believe a quarter of what you read or hear, it is terribly depressing, because you know that you are stuck with the same Prime Minister for the present, who will still be making poor judgements which we all have to learn to live with.
Having said that, should it become a matter of the greatest concern, I am sure there are those out there armed with their sharpened political knives, ready to act at a moment’s notice. Not going too far back they brought them out with Theresa May, and are now working on Nicola Sturgeon.
