Beyond the EU and Spain’s short-sightedness

by CARMEN GOMEZ

After giving it some thought, I realize that whilst my parents were lovingly taking care of my education, and whilst school was implementing its own finishing touches; I was surrounded by books. Books not only provided me with entertainment, but both taught and enlightened me; and as an older person I can look back and understand just how much of an influence they had on my life.
My first books were always accompanied by a moral; and later reading one particular author set me reading some of the writers with whom they had things in common with. In the same way that great books leave their mark on history, they also leave their mark on us as adults.
