Explaining what made her initially enter Miss Gibraltar, Krystle said: “I used to dance, I have always danced and always liked being involved in shows.
“Later on I started to do some modelling when I was 17; I enjoyed it as well and I entered a few other similar competitions. Again, the experience I had was always so enjoyable, I thought I wanted to take part in Miss Gibraltar.
Miss Gibraltar 2008 was held at the Alameda Open Air Theatre on July 5th, with seven contestants. The preparations for the pageant were similar to what Krystle had done in other competitions, however she stated they did lots of rehearsals and photo shoots leading up to the date and there is always something you can learn.
When Krystle was announced as the winner of Miss Gibraltar, she was really happy. “I have seen the video a few times after and it always brings back such lovely memories. I was really proud of what I had done, I could see my family really happy so it was in general a happy moment of my life that I still remember”, the 35-year-old said.
