EU delegation visits Gibraltar this week in connection with EU treaty talks

A delegation from the European Union will visit Gibraltar this week in connection with the talks being held over the EU Treaty. The visit will be of a technical nature, so that those concerned can inspect installations here and on the Spanish side of the frontier. The delegation will also visit the Gibraltar airport and the port, which are issues which arise in the said talks. 


The visit has not yet been officially announced and was leaked in Spain. The issues expected to be raised will concern Frontex and Schengen, which are key points in the negotiations. The delegation will be in Gibraltar on Wednesday and on Tuesday on the Spanish side.
