The existence of a colonial situation in Gibraltar violates the territorial integrity of Spain. This is what Spain says.

If this is the case, then we must refer ourselves to the wording used by Britain that `unlawful incursions into our BGTW`s are a violation of sovereignty, but not a threat to it,` similarly in their case, the words should be added “the existence of a colonial situation in Gibraltar violates the territorial integrity of Spain, but “is not a threat to it!” furthermore Spain must know that although a violation of our sovereignty is not something we take lightly, that we are no longer a colony; despite having been described as such in a piece of EU draft legislation, in 2019; which actually has been used in the past in other EU texts. The European Court of Justice has said in rulings 2006 and 2017 that Gibraltar was “a colony of the British Crown, and not part of the United Kingdom.
