We all remember how in 2016 and then after, the UK was vilified by the foreign media and the executive members of the EU.

If truth be told, the worst attempts to destroy a reputation by open and direct abuse, was Spain in its day, against its “friend and NATO ally.” Yet now they are once again turning to the UK, anxious to continue doing business with them. But then turning to history, gratitude was expressed; believe it or not; to the position taken by the USSR in respect of Spain in its most difficult years; for offering hospitality to thousands of Spaniards who had to leave their country after the Spanish civil war; including political refugees and leaders of the communist party such as Jose Diaz and Dolores Ibarruri, as well as doctors and medical personnel who had cared for them.
