World Cup shows Spain has not learnt the lesson

Morocco’s success in knocking Spain out the World Cup led to scenes of jubilation in Gibraltar. Those same scenes were repeated in towns and cities all over Europe, including in Algeciras across the Bay. 

In our case, it becomes relevant to pose the question as to whether this reaction says anything of our current political psyche.
