Should Gibraltar have a Gibraltarian Governor?

The opening of the vacancy of Governor of Gibraltar last week and its advertising on social media platforms has caused great amusement in Spain.

This was in part because of the modern technological method that was used to publicise the appointment, as opposed to a more traditional, conservative route that would ordinarily be associatied with such a vacancy.
