UK and Frontex to cooperate on immigration issues

In a move which is believed to be unconnected to the expected Frontex operation in Gibraltar, the UK and the EU have announced the intention to strengthen immigration cooperation between them. The objective is to tackle cross-border crime and people trafficking.


SESSION
The news followed a meeting between the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and the President of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen at a session of the Council of Europe in Iceland.
