Gibraltar should abandon neo-colonialism for a globalist economy

The Rock’s economy would be better as a gateway between continents instead of a piece of Britain in the sun with a favourable tax regime. 

Gibraltar stood at the crossroads of global trade routes for thousands of years, but why does it mean it should retract its borders in a digitally connected world? The irony is that it has a multilingual workforce with decades of experience in financial services, in establishing itself as a technological hub and has two continents on its doorstep.
