The GGCA has conducted through a private firm a survey of Gibraltar HM Customs. The survey was based primarily on answering questions with regards to; manning levels in the department, allowances, pay scales, facilities, equipment, bullying, victimisation within the same and the impact of BREXIT in the Customs Department. The GSD has again criticised Government for the way in which the condition of our roads and pavements has been allowed to deteriorate without any effective programme of repairs. The Government has completely lost sight of basics like the need for clean, tidy and safe streets. A continuous and effective maintenance programme is required and the GSD would be committed to providing such. Read more

A government statement late last night said “It is obvious to everyone in Gibraltar that our roads are subject to considerable wear and tear on a daily basis both by local vehicles and by traffic coming in through the border. It is also clear that the Government has resurfaced roads in different parts of Gibraltar as part of its on-going programme and that it will continue to do so. Read more
