The Government notes that the referendum on the United Kingdom and Gibraltar’s continued membership of the European Union took place four years ago, and that today is the exact anniversary of the announcement of the result. That outcome was not supported by the vast majority of the people of Gibraltar, including all the political parties and the main representative organisations. The Borders and Coastguard Agency has announced the successful completion of the Agency’s training programme by 7 new Recruits. The training period commenced in early March 2020 but was suspended as the Officers were seconded to assist with COVID-19 related activities. Upon their recent return, the Recruits undertook further refresher and on-the-job training on Immigration to reinforce their learnings prior to their secondment. Read more
