What is being done to defend our police officers?

It was on 21 May that PANORAMA revealed locally that the Spanish Government had lodged a strong protest to the British Embassy in Madrid about a fatal collision at sea between an RGP vessel and a Spanish RHIB launch, and we asked what was the RGP doing about defending its police officers. Reliable sources have informed Panorama that relations between the Government and the RGP Police Commissioner have further deteriorated. Even before the Chief Minister on Monday in Parliament replied to questions by opposition member Danny Feetham, where Mr Picardo gave account of the incident at sea where an RGP patrol boat was involved in a fatal collision last March.
