Panorama understands there is a serious concern once again with members of the Gibraltar Defence Police who are alarmed that two senior officers, who are two of four GDP officers suspended in March this year involving certain incidents and allegations after a review of the force commissioned by ‘Joint Forces Command in the UK’ are about to return to duty after disciplinary charges were reduced and is we understand the two senior officer are to be reinstated and returning to duty. The Joyful Riot Youth and Community Choir joined Gibraltar Clubhouse at their annual Christmas celebration yesterday. They also spent the day touring Gibraltar with their Singathon. The choir also visited the Waterport Adult Day Centre, St Bernadette’s and Mount Alvernia, spreading Christmas cheer with a selection of jolly sing a long Christmas songs. Read more

A Bill for the Mutual Legal Assistance (Council of Europe) Act 2018 and a Bill for the Extradition Act 2018 were unanimously passed in Parliament.
The Mutual Legal Assistance Bill, when extended to Gibraltar by the UK, will give effect to the Council of Europe’s European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters. Mutual legal assistance agreements between countries serve the purpose of gathering and exchanging information in an effort to enforce public or criminal laws. Read more
