GONHS invites people to join in its celebration of BirdLife International’s EuroBirdwatch on Saturday 5th October, in order to discover the fascinating world of bird migration. During this time of the year, millions of migratory birds leave Europe, flying to their wintering places in the south. The event will be celebrated by GONHS and other BirdLife Partners across Europe and Central Asia, From Uzbekistan to Portugal, from Norway to Greece. Read more

The GSLP Liberals held their public meeting Tuesday evening at the John Macintosh Theatre where they announced their plans for the future if they are to again get elected into Government as a result of this upcoming general election.
The meeting gave the caretaker Ministers the opportunity to speak their views, talk about what they have done in the last 8 years and also express their appreciation for former Liberal Minister of Health, Care & Justice, Neil Costa, to be replaced by Vijay Daryanani. Read more

Spanish reports are also saying that Spanish police in the La Atunara area and at the frontier have had stones etc thrown at them. Measures are being taken in Spain to protect law enforcement officers. Read more

The GSD yesterday held a press conference discussing some of their policies regarding Quality of Life, a subject which will be a key focal point for the GSD and their manifesto, which is expected to be released later this week.
They have released a leaflet entitled, ‘Pledge 1’ which contains a little bit of information on the goals that the GSD have in regards to Gibraltar’s Quality of Life. Read more

With one month to go to Brexit, the mayor of La Linea Juan Franco is showing concern about the 'situation of uncertainty' lingering on. And what makes matters worse for them, in his judgement, is that on 31 October Spain will still not have a government.
Thus, any measures to soften any adverse effects fom the UK's exit of the European Union wll not be in black upon white before the end of the year. Read more
