The Gibraltar Chinese Association hosted their annual Chinese New Year Celebrations on Thursday, with three separate celebration ceremonies. This began at 4:15pm in the John Mackintosh Square with a Firework Display, Lion Dance, Kung Fu show and Tai Chi Display. Read more

A delegation from the Type 42 Association from the UK visited the historic naval base of Gibraltar over the weekend. The association, which welcomes those who have served on a type 42 navy Destroyer ship, visited The Clipper in Irish Town for a meal, and had drinks in the Lord Nelson and the Star Bar. Read more

The Chief Minister yesterday welcomed representatives of Unite the Union to No 6 Convent Place and received their Apprenticeship Policy Document.
He said: ‘I am grateful to Unite the Union for the positive and constructive spirit in which they have provided us with their policy proposals on this important matter. I very much welcome these proposals. The Cabinet will review the document and consider Unite’s ideas in the next few days.’ Read more

The participation of Gibraltar in the World Money Fair in Berlin this year built up on the success of the past three years.
The Gibraltar stand provided collectors’ items in coins and currency, which found a steady stream of interested customers queuing up to buy Gibraltar products and, given that last year the stock of items taken over was sold out, the quantity was doubled this year. Read more
