The Gibraltar Mental Welfare Society is very pleased to hear about the Gibraltar Government's most recent improvements to the mental health service, as explained in their latest PR on the matter: "The latest service initiative has been the introduction of a nurse-led liaison service, operating 7 days a week from 08.00 to 20.00. A Nurse Liaison, based at Ocean Views, will now be available to provide assessments, support and reassurance to both service users and their families in times of need. This improved access means that not all services users will need to attend the Accident & Emergency at St Bernard’s Hospital. " Read more

The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia will open an exhibition on Monday which marks fifty years since the closure of the land frontier by General Franco’s Spain. The exhibition has been organised by the Gibraltar National Archives with the Office of the Deputy Chief Minister.
It will be recalled that the border gates slammed shut on 8 June 1969. The exhibition will be open during the exact anniversary of that closure. Read more

The danger for Gibraltar is that the Commissioner of Police appears to be living in cloud cuckoo land and does not understand that Spain has a permanent claim to our homeland, and hence, they cannot be treated as one would treat other countries. Read more

The Government says it regrets that a mechanical fault on a contractor’s tractor meant that some walkways were not ready for disabled beach-users last weekend. Of course, this would not have happened under the GSD as they never provided any beach access for the disabled. Read more

A charity walk in aid of the local charity Autism Support Gibraltar, ‘Walk for Autism’ will be held on Saturday 8th June at 10am
The route is 4km with 400 metres ascent starting at Commonwealth Park and terminating at highest point of the Rock at Ohara's Battery. Read more
