The Gibraltar Health Authority and Elderly Residential Services would like to express its deepest gratitude to the Gibraltar Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society (“GADS”) for its generous donation of thirty low-profiling beds.
These low-profiling beds are specially designed to assist those who are at a higher risk of falls and those living with conditions such as Dementia, as they can be set at a very low height from the floor improving comfort and safety for both residents and staff. Read more

The Gibraltar Youth Service will soon deliver an ‘Introduction to Youth Work’ training course for new volunteers and prospective employees.
Trainees will have the choice of two routes: assessed and non-assessed courses. Read more

Gibraltar’s Chief minister said some time back “ I think we’ve agreed enough of the substance of the practical arrangements between us, the UK, the EU and Spain, that we might seek to put in place some sort of safety net.” I believe the Government has by now achieved this, and no doubt our community is much relieved to hear it. Axe falls on GFA General Secretary who moves on to new post
The axe should fall on GFA General Secretary Dennis Beiso as part of a major restructure of GFA, while Legal Director Ivan Robba should also take on that role.
The proposed changes follows an audit conducted by Nicolaus Marshall following a request by GFA President Michael Llamas to take the National football association "to a new level of organisation after our initial years as UEFA and FIFA members.” Read more

easyJet has announced it will launch a new route from Gibraltar to Edinburgh, the first direct connection between Gibraltar and Scotland. This will become the fifth route easyJet now operates from Gibraltar, joining existing services to London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester and Bristol.
Flights to Edinburgh will operate twice a week throughout the year and will provide business and leisure travellers alike with a direct and easy route between two popular destinations both known for their famous festivals, iconic castles and rich heritage. Read more

At a meeting in No6 Convent Place, several Government departments met with the Gibraltar Dyslexia Support Group in order to move forward on the ‘Dyslexia Pledge’ which was made by the Chief Minister earlier this year. The Pledge requires companies, educators and governments to value dyslexic thinking and to begin taking positive steps towards supporting it. Read more

The Pledge For Life campaign hosted by the Gibraltar Pro Life Movement (GPLM) ended tonight, after an extremely successful 30 hours of fundraising.
The aim of the Pledge For Life campaign was to encourage the people of Gibraltar to personally contribute to the efforts of GPLM in sharing the pro-life message, educating about the reality of abortion and building upon the CareLink programme which offers support to local families. Read more
