The GSD Opposition as a political party never fail to denigrate others, particularly those they consider a threat. People like me in fact, who over many years in Panorama has reported the many shortcomings of the GSD when in Government, and since, when they took ownership of the opposition benches. RGP and GDP recruits jointly carried out an intensive two day public order training course at the Buffadero Training Camp. It has always been a hot potato to get the two police entities in some form of merger, as the Defence Police see themselves as losing out. Be that as it may, it could be that training of recruits is seen as an acceptable venture. Read more

Public and Media Relations with MOD Gibraltar have seriously fallen-off and are in decline an evaluation not made by Panorama alone but by a number of other people who are of the opinion the MOD in Gibraltar appear withdrawn with their PR relations and appear a shadow of their former self.

Brexit negotiations have been hard on the Rock as we take second fiddle in our own matters and ‘Big Brother’ assures us of protection against Spanish opportunism.
The EU’s decision to empower Spain with a veto over Brexit issues relating to Gibraltar and to exclude the Rock from negotiations sent a stark warning. Europe supports Spain and Gibraltar is nothing more than a bargaining chip. Read more

Last week, we heard exiting Mps express their dismay, to put it mildly, with words such as “Our values no longer find expression” “We are tired of labels” “We don’t want to be patronized” etc. Words which give rise to a scenario of British politics being consumed and squandered. Phrases; some of which are not dissimilar to our own echoed in the past. One MP even spoke of Westminster as an egocentric place which is alien to them; where one dare not tread. Read more
