At a press call yesterday in the presence of heritage Minister Prof. John Cortes, the Gibraltar National Museum announced their acquisition of an 18th Century gold watch, signed by Henry Cowper, who was listed in the 1777 List of Inhabitants as a Goldsmith born in Gibraltar. Read more

The GSD welcomes the significant decision by the Labour Party in the UK to back a policy of a second vote between a “credible” withdrawal agreement to leave the EU and remaining. The GSD has supported the idea of a second vote from very early on. Read more

The position of Her Majesty's Government of Gibraltar is that the best outcome for Gibraltar would be the revocation of Article 50 and remaining in the European Union.
This follows the statement by the Prime Minister today and the decision of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom to support a referendum where the choice would be between remaining and a withdrawal agreement. Read more

A Gibraltar-bound flight was diverted to Malaga yesterday after strong winds rocked its path. The aborted flight was from London Heathrow.
The British Airways aicraft was seen rocking its wings violently as the pilot abandoned the landing, climbed back to the sky and diverted to Malaga. Read more
