A Bill for the Mutual Legal Assistance (Council of Europe) Act 2018 and a Bill for the Extradition Act 2018 were unanimously passed in Parliament.
The Mutual Legal Assistance Bill, when extended to Gibraltar by the UK, will give effect to the Council of Europe’s European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters. Mutual legal assistance agreements between countries serve the purpose of gathering and exchanging information in an effort to enforce public or criminal laws. Read more

The Gibraltar Cultural Services is inviting local artists to apply for the use of a vault at the GEMA gallery to exhibit their work. As recently announced at the GEMA Open Day, the initiative aims to encourage the promotion of the modern arts, provide more opportunities for artists, and promote the Gallery. Read more

It now looks much of the public and media are being taken for fools by the enforcement the ‘Royal Gibraltar Police’ who have now retorted to issuing deceptive statements the RGP’s operational illegal fishing enforcement of pertinent laws. Which is not as the Police are now depicting, and as the public on a daily bases evidence themselves by presenting video footage and photo’s to demonstrate police law enforcement is practically zero. The only people lacking credibility on the fishing issue are the GSD. It is incredibly mischievous of the Opposition to make the statement they have just made when they are the party that, when in Government, with its current leader Keith Azopardi as a Minister, created the fishing problem by entering into the illegal fishing agreement.
