A group of business people have been mooting the idea of setting themselves up into an association with the aim to foster business, cultural, touristic and educational links with our neighbours over in Morocco,says a statement issued by Brahim Krikaz.
"we are all concerned about Brexit and feel that Morocco can and will be a viable alternative to our over reliance in Spain, we must not forget what happened in 1969 when Franco closed the frontier and essential supplies, workers , alter wine, gas stopped overnight, same scenario could happen again given the upsurge of the far right in Spain with Vox, PP and Cuidadanos alliance," says the statement. The statements from the GSD's Eliott Phillips on the Tax Treaty between Gibraltar and Spain, suggesting that the Government has made concessions to Spain in that Treaty, are clear lies, says a Government statement today.
It adds: "These are lies designed to mislead the public. They are also, disgracefully, lies designed to spread fear amongst those Gibraltarians who reside in Spain because, he claims, they cannot afford to live in Gibraltar." Read more

In 2014, I voted in elections to the European Parliament as a voter in the South West England constituency, which had included Gibraltar for the past ten years. It was touching to see a familiar name, that of Lyana Armstrong-Emery, on the ballot paper, the only candidate from Gibraltar on a party list, though also surreal, given how little others in the region knew of it, or her. The GRGA started the Competition season with Gold, Lauren Garcia being the star of the weekend.
On Saturday the Pre Benjamin Group which are only 5 years old (Sadie Gavizio, Amelie Lombard-Leiria, Cecilia Alarcon-Bravo, Suhaila Romero Pincho, Tiffany Byrne, Ella and Navarro Walsh competed for their first time and they performed a very sweet routine, and although they didn’t place they most definitely enjoyed the experience, and on the Sunday they travelled to Ronda where they placed on the podium with their first silver medal.
