The analysis of Mr Azopardi and the GSD Opposition of the Gibraltar Memoranda of Understanding can only be seen as a cheap and transparent attempt to confuse public opinion. Moreover, their view is legally flawed, politically wrong and totally unsustainable, says the Government's respose. Read more

Earlier, the GSD had said that the EU Withdrawal Agreement [“WA”] was a bad deal for Gibraltar, and that it allowed Spain a voice in our domestic affairs and a measure of control over these. Read more

The Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra received a standing ovation from the people of Gibraltar for their performance at the Gibraltar International Jazz Festival.
The superb 19-part band treated their audience including Deputy Chief Minister, Minister of Culture, Media & Sport and The Governor to a two-hour spectacular set of jazz classics at St Michael’s Cave. Read more

The position of the Government of Gibraltar has always been that the annual UN Consensus decision is contradictory and unacceptable. We have never supported it.
A Gibraltar Government statement adds: "It does not make sense for the United Kingdom to agree a Consensus wording that makes a reference to the 1984 Brussels Agreement, on the one hand, and then be committed at the same time to no discussion or negotiation of our sovereignty. Read more

The future of Gibraltar as a modern day operational strategic military base will have to be evaluated amongst or alongside the realties of life, but importantly those events that threaten world peace, including those military priorities that require the support available at this extreme end of Southern Europe.
