Proof of this, is the very obvious and significant increase in illegal incursions by Spanish State vessels. Just this weekend alone, there were three unlawful invasions into BGTW. Of course, as most people who regularly read Panorama would know, none of this is helped by the MOD who are hopeless in stopping them, not helped by totally miserable and pathetic FCO Spanish policy on Gibraltar. The Gibraltar EU electorate who polled in at not quite 40% was a surprisingly high one considering all various circumstances and the fact; this particular demonstration of EU democracy was the expected anti-climax both in Gibraltar and the UK that mirrored the present Brexit crises and the even deeper divisions across the European continent! A Bill has been published today to amend the Matrimonial Causes Act 1962 providing for:
• non-fault divorces;
• divorce petitions after the first year of marriage;
• extension of the cooling off period between the provisional and final divorce pronouncements from 6 weeks to 6 months; and
• financial relief applications following an overseas divorce. Read more

Turnout at the Gibraltar count was 7% above the prvious European Election in 2014.
A total of 9441 voted at the present election, representing 39.79% of the total electorate of 23726, with 7321 voting in the 2014 election, representing 32.84% of the total electorate then of 22265. Read more
