The rinse-and-repeat cycle at the Gibraltar Parliament is as dull as an empty washing machine spinning endlessly without cause. It is heated but extremely dry and does little good for the clothes it means to serve. Read more

The funds that have poured into the Spanish exchequer from Gibraltar have multiplied by millions and millions of euros in recent times, according to Spain’s economic Ministry Hacienda. This is reflected in figures published by El Economista which show that tax takings in respect of Gibraltar have nearly doubled over the last two years. Read more

Following the aftermath of two major earthquakes that affected Turkey and Syria on Monday February 6th last week, the British Red Cross launched an urgent appeal for funds, and here on the Rock, the Gibraltar Red Cross is supporting that appeal. Read more

The Government felt obliged to issue a statement at the weekend which defended its record of compliance in relation to tobacco. This came in the face of barbed and well directed comments in sectors of the Spanish press which suggested the very opposite.

But the signs were already showing even before the weekend as those sectors of the Spanish administration who are opposed to a treaty started to play their hand. Read more

Since the beginning of this year, there have been eight incidents reported in the RGP media report in relation to Devil’s Tower Road car park.
The incidents are in relation to break-ins, criminal damage and vandalism to vehicles that are parked in the multi-storey car park. Read more

The NASUWT – The Teachers Union condemns deeply offensive and unfounded comments made about Westside School and its staff on a fake Instagram account impersonating the school.
The Union has reported the anonymous account to Instagram as the guidelines clearly violates the platform’s safety guidelines. Read more
