Investigation Reveals Prima Facie Plot to Pervert Course of Justice

Leo Olivero

Governor: “Direct Your Questions to the RGP”

An investigation conducted in the United Kingdom has revealed a potential clear case of ‘Perverting the Course of Justice’ in relation to the case of two serving RGP officers who late last year appeared with three other local men in front of a Spanish criminal court charged with criminal offences, where in UK or in local law would be deemed as offences of dishonesty.

We have repeatedly reported how we have been unable to obtain information even after we exclusively revealed in a previous edition how these serving officers had been convicted in a Spanish criminal court.

Today Panorama can again exclusively reveal that as a result of investigations conducted in the UK we are in possession of a number of documents containing very precise and direct information to corroborate that there appears to have been a concerted effort to approach people involved in the case in question, mainly to facilitate, by changing material evidence in favour of those accused in this case by attempting to modify or change evidence thus ‘perverting the course of justice’ as this type offence is more commonly known!

Documents in our possession clearly reveal several such attempts; we also have a legally written document, which rubber-stamps what we have exposed today!

However, we can reveal and I will share that so far the names we do have, do not correspond to any present or past serving police officer or anyone professionally connected with the RGP as an enforcement body.

Although in the latter respect, our investigations continue and those names that have emerged need further work in a ‘connecting the dots exercise’. We are expecting more documents to be in our possession in the coming weeks. One also has to bear in mind, that this is a Spanish investigation tried in a Spanish Criminal Court and part of the Spanish Criminal Justice System.

What we cannot remove and must highlight again, the fact that this case involved two serving RGP officers and the also fact, that there has been a ‘ring of silence’ surrounding every aspect of this matter where in recent editions we have alleged ‘Police Cover Up’ we have also been super critical of the Governor who in my opinion has brushed away every attempt by Panorama to obtain information.

As for the Gibraltar Police Authority (GPA) they are simple hopeless and have been since they were created in 2006. So no offence to the present Chairman it’s not his fault...The GPA was a mistake from the start!
