Picardo’s Schengen BOMBSHELL

It’s typical, but at the same time nationally disturbing, that we have to learn news of national importance just before a weekend from the international media. A significantly important piece of news affecting the whole of Gibraltar and our future, and one, which no doubt now seems, will be a vital issue under discussion in the looming forthcoming Brexit talks between Gibraltar the UK and Spanish Governments.

Before the start of the weekend the Associated Press (AFP) published an interview with Chief Minister Fabian Picardo who pulled a real Brexit corker out the hat, when he informed the AFP that ‘Gibraltar was considering becoming part of the Schengen zone’ explained, as a way of ensuring fluidity of movement with our border with Spain after the UK and Gibraltar leaves the European Union.
