Leading onto our usual final question, Eddie had much to say. “When we closed for lockdown we were doing deliveries. We were just, you know, trying to get as much business as we could – trying to get everybody what they needed to keep everyone entertained at home.

Obviously it wasn’t the same amount of business that we would do but we were pretty happy with the result and we’re pretty happy with how deliveries went. It’s another line of business that we didn’t have and we’ve started now to keep it going. We want to take advantage of that. We learned and will improve in the future, and yeah... we’re quite happy. It’s not been a great month but it’s been a...” – ‘a learning experience?’ we interjected - “Yes! I learning experience!”.

Vijay itself had much of the same things to say, and so did Sports City. However, in Sports City’s case, our interviewee was less exact on their opinion about the government’s decision, saying that he could not really tell us: “To tell you the truth, I don’t know. It’s a government decision because I’m sure they would be sure that this would be the best decision to make”. A similar sentiment felt by other managers and employees across Main Street.
