The importance of recovery from mental illness

UGOOD GIB, a local action and pressure group, is urgently requesting a review into the drastic and potentially damaging decision to stop visitation at Ocean Views hospital.


“We have written to the government requesting an urgent review as visitation at Ocean Views is necessary to the recovery of patients, and there are plenty of opportunities to bring in no contact visitation as an alternative,” they say.
Founder of UGOOD GIB, Joel Orme, said:
"Having been a patient at Ocean Views myself, I know the importance of visitation to recovery of those suffering from mental illness.
