Don’t be alarmed by the alarms, says MOD

The MOD are getting ready by checking their alarm systems, but say the public should not be alarmed.


On Tuesday they are testing their nuclear alarm. Says a Notice: The public is advised that, as part of ongoing maintenance and rectification work, the Naval Base will be testing its Nuclear Emergency Response Organisation (NERO) alarm. Testing is scheduled to take place at between 1145 -1215 on Tuesday 03 August. Members of the public should not be concerned and no action is required.
