Spanish citizens have come out in protest over the intended use of the creation of solar system magaparks in their municipalities.


They are not against renewable energy but not like this as it can be done differently, without the expropriation of land and the destruction of environments of high natural value. The government as usual is trying to things on the cheap, but the citizens of the area in question, are not going to allow this outrage; particularly involving the destruction of 100 hectares of olive trees.
In Gibraltar however, when the government authorises the construction of a new building, they always insist in the use of solar panels within its design; plus the planting of trees in the area.
